February Club Meeting

Program: A presentation on Water Garden and Shoreline Plants that can be used in the northern Illinois water garden. It will also include how to make rock flower pots that allow flowering aquatic plants to take nutrients out of the water to compete with algae. The speaker is Jeff Rugg who will be familiar to long time MPKS members. He has taught hands on pond building classes in more than 20 states. His articles and photographs on water gardening have appeared in Pond Keeper, Water Garden Magazine, Chicagoland Gardening and many other publications.
Location: Chandler’s Restaurant, 401 N Roselle, Schaumburg IL.
Dinner: Garden salad, Roast Turkey with stuffing, Virginia Baked Ham, garlic mashed potatoes, vegetables, mostaccioli, desert, and includes coffee and soda.

The dinner cost is $26.00 per person which includes the room fee, tax, and tip. Dinner starts at 7:00PM. Meeting starts at 8:00PM.
Directions: Major crossroads are Roselle and Higgins. Chandler’s is located in the Schaumburg Country Club. The meeting will be held in the Pebble Beach Room on the second floor. An elevator is available.
