October 20th Club Meeting
A Pond’s Patina — Establishing and Maintaining This Critical Part of Your Pond’s Ecosystem presented by Jamie Beyer of Midwest Waterscapes
So, just what is a Pond’s Patina? Simply – it is the biofilm that forms on substrates where water is in constant contact with as long as certain conditions exist. Jamie will discuss in detail the importance of APP (A Pond’s Patina) as well as how to achieve a good biofilm layer. He will introduce you to what he calls PPM (Proper Pond Management). These very simple and logical techniques will maintain a healthy Patina layer. Jamie is very interested in a good discussion on the subject so come with questions and comments.
