MPKS June 22nd Road Trip to the Kloubec Koi Farm Amana IA
Myron and Ellen Kloubec have invited MPKS and two other koi clubs to visit the Kloubec Koi Farm on Saturday June 22nd. The plan for the day follows:
Arrive at farm 11:30 AM
Lunch at noon from Chick-fil A $10 per person.
During the afternoon, you may tour the outdoor and indoor facilities, experiencing a working koi farm. There will also be interesting presentations. One of the presentations will be given by an ISA certified arborist. Also, a presentation on dividing a water lily and lotus.
For Saturday evening, Happy-Hour at the Electric Thread Social Club at the Hotel Millwright in Amana.
Followed by a buffet dinner at the Merino Loft at the Hotel Millwright in Amana. The dinner menu is salad, pork loin roast, grilled chicken, potatoes, vegetables, and dessert. The cost is $47.00 per person.
Sunday morning a 9:00 AM brunch will be at the Cedar Ridge Distillery 1441 Marak Rd NW, Swisher, IA.
Accommodations arranged by Ellen at the Hotel Millwright for those staying overnight. The Hotel Millwright is located at 800 48th Ave Amana, IA 52203 (319) 838-5015. A block of rooms is being held under the name of Koi Fish Club at a discounted rate. Fri/Sat (reg $209) $179/night Kloubec rate King or 2 Queen Thursday or Sunday $124/night King or 2 Queen. Rooms must be booked by May 17th for the special rate.
