Program: What do you know about birds in your neighborhood? What do you want to know about birds? Who is that visitor to your bird feeder? Is he a resident or just passing through? From your backyard to lake front parks, the Chicago region is home to many feathered delights. In fall many migrants stop by our parks, forest preserves and neighborhoods. We will offer some tips on identifying residents and visitors and learning more about their lives by enjoying their fascinating behavior. Some places to explore beyond your yard, tips on feeder types and maintenance, and time for questions will be included.
This topic will be presented by John Elliott, a retired Cook County Forest Preserve naturalist and member of the Chicago Audubon Society board.
